Try the "split" program from a command window. The split command has been around at least from BSD 4.3 days. See "man split". One of the options is how big each split-file will be. Copy the pieces to your machine. Use the "cat" program to put them back together. "cat file1 file2 file3 >audio-driver".
I would suggest you get a ftp or http server going. Have you tried mailing it to yourself? It will be a lot easier to get the file this way than use split/cat. Have you tried the bzip2 compression program to see if you can squeeze the file to less that 1.44 Mbytes? |
