How to recover head crashes in ubuntu os?

I want to know how to recover head crashes in Ubuntu operating system.And also how to recover when the computre get corrupted in ubuntu os...
I want these things for a project..

Take a look at the program fsck. It checks file system consistency during a boot. The program can only be run on a read-only file system (and it will tell you that if you try to run it on a read-write file system).

Your question confuses me. You ask about "head crashes". To me that means that the pickup coil on the disk at scraped the disk platter. Where ever the pickup coil touched the plater, that data (I think) is forever gone. If the disk died this way, I would try to use the "dd" command to read a read only file system and try to recover the bytes on the disk. "dd" reads and writes bytes to and from a disk (or other device).

If you mean Ubantu "crashes" and you have to fix the disk backup, then use the fsck programs.

When you try to fix a corrupted Ubuntu, you will have to learn how to boot from GRUB into single user mode (run level 1). You will also have to (from the command line) learn how to mount and umount (sic) file systems in read-only and read-write mode.
