How to install drivers on linux and run programs!?

So heres whats goin on. I have been interested in using aircrack and using linux, when i looked up compatible cards with aircrack i found out that my version of wireless card is only compatible when using linuix. so what i have been using is Knoppix live CD version 5.1, and i have no idea how to install my drivers for my network card or even run the aircrack programs. I feel like a total newb. anways i was wondering how to install my drivers as well as how to run air crack and such programs because when i go into them all i see are text doc. and when i copy and paste them into the shell thing is doesnt work. HELP!! i was wondering HOW TO INSTALL DRIVERS FOR MY VIDEO CARD my card is a dlink dwl 520+ the chipset is axt100 can anyone give a brief tutorial on how to runs programs on a linux OS or how to install drivers?? Thank you for any help

Sorry, but this site has strict rules about supporting cracking or hacking software. Aircrack is designed to crack WiFi security keys and would fall under this category. Please refrain from posting support requests here that involve hacking, cracking or any other illegal or ethically questionable issues.
