Re: a problem in installing a new windows on my laptop
Windows doesn't understand the filesystem type that's commonly installed with Linux, and since that's the case, you'll need to remove the partition that contains that filesystem for Windows to identify that you do have a Hard Disc, as well as remove the MBR (Master boot record) so that it can install the NTLDR to load windows after installation. Perhapd the easiest way to do this is to use the FDISK tool from an early version Windows boot disk (Windows 98 or similar) to remove the partition, and then you'll also want to run FDISK /MBR from the boot prompt to allow yourr MBR to accept the NTLDR for installation. If you need any further help, please let me know.
