I have the ASUS F3SA, and I have Ubuntu 7.10 on a 2 gb flash drive, following the tutorial on Pendrivelinux. For some reason, when I type "apt-get update" I get an error /var/cache/apt/ is locked. I checked the var/cache/ folder, and there is no folder called apt.
I am also trying to install the RadeonHD driver for linux, but this problem is stopping me, not being able to type anything with "apt-get" in front. If anyone has another way to install a driver for the Mobility HD 2600, that'd be amazing. Keep in mind Im a linux n00b and would appriciate some kind of explination on how to do anything. I do not need an accelerated driver, I just dont want to be running at 1024 x 768, my max is 1280 x 800 and would like to run at that, thats all. Acceleration is a plus, though. Thanks
