Internet on ubuntu
Well, I have an ASUS 802.11g wireless network card, drivers, and last time I tried to get the internet to work on my Linux Ubuntu, but no such luck. After one day of struggling, fighting, yelling, tearing apart of my computer and trying to get it to work, I managed to get it to work. Untill I restarted my computer, that is, so I need some help here, after I failed I ran away with the tail behind my legs and went windows xp again, but now I want to give it another try. 'this be possible, or?

Re: Internet on ubuntu
Linux doesn't support Wi-Fi much, because of the given security issues. If you can access remotely, so can anyone.
The card I use uses an Atheros chipset, which I've learned is one that has pretty good support. The drivers are provided via MadWifi: http://madwifi.org/ I don't have many problems, non-security related anyways. Solid connect, and much faster than the Bloatindows. |

Re: Internet on ubuntu
Taking a look at Linux LAN support for ASUS suggests your card has unknown support. Your best bet might be to go to Ebay and buy a pcmcia card whose chipset is known to be supported.
