PCLinuxOS 2007 Question

Hi guys, I am new to the Linux scene as I have just installed it on a dual boot configuration with my WinXP Pro. I have chosen the version of PCLinuxOS

1. How do you do that cube thing of all of your screens because it seems to be a very interesting idea that I dont know how to use yet?

2. I was raised on Windows Versions and the command prompt but I do not know any commands here in whats called "Terminal". Can anyone tell me some commands or direct me to a website as if I don't know how to use Terminal here and an error comes up I would not know how to fix it?

That was pretty much all my questions so far so if someone can help then it would be really appreciated.

Re: PCLinuxOS 2007 Question

Open the Administration Center. (circle with wrench and screwdriver at the bottom)
It will ask for the root password, enter it.
On the left click "Hardware"
On the right click "Configure 3D Desktop Effects"

here you can find all those sort of options such as 3D desktop, wobble on windows, ect...

You may need to update your graphics drivers for some options.

Re: PCLinuxOS 2007 Question

Beryl/Compiz is still "experimental" software. Success not guaranteed.

There are many treads and tutorials on the PCLOS forum about Compiz
