How to Make KDE my Preference?

I've been running Ubuntu and thought I might try Kbuntu. I loaded all the K-software and can use all the programs and tools. But I can't figure out how to get it to run the KDE desk top environment - it always defaults to GNome. I thought I'd get an option to run either at boot.

yup, at the login just set KDE as default, OR if your last session was KDE, you can set it to load your last session as default.
