Re: Question about Operation Systems
Yeh its called a dual-boot. The only requirements are enough space for both OS's, and they need to each be on a different partition or a different drive.
There are plenty of guides online for this type of thing.

Re: Question about Operation Systems
VMWare runs 2 operating systems at the same time...
Unless you want 2 OS installed on your machine, see Jamie's answer. |

Re: Question about Operation Systems
I was thinking more of PureEvilDan's answer. Not to have two OS's INSTALLED at the same time, but to have them both running at the same time. That's more what I meant.

Re: Question about Operation Systems
What will your host system be? Windows or Linux? In Linux (I'm talking about free) you have vmware, VirtualBox. There might be another one I don't know of, but those are the most popular. For Windows there is vmware, and Microsoft's Virtual PC (Not sure if it's free).

Re: Question about Operation Systems
ok, thanks. I want to be able to go on the internet in Windows, while doing everything else in Linux. I have dial-up via a modem that doesn't have a driver compatible with Linux blah blah blah, so I kinda want to get around that until I can get a serial modem or (preferably) other means of an internet connection.
