installed beryl 3 workspaces disapear!
Yes i finally got beryl working, the works! Unfortuantly my 4 workspaces dropped down to 1. How come? Right when i get beryl my 4 workspaces were there, i did mess around in the themes. but thats about it, anyway to get them back?
Edit : I dont think this is proper beryl actually...theres no theme manager for it or anything. Last edited by -paper_cut-; 08-10-2007 at 05:20 PM. |

Re: installed beryl 3 workspaces disapear!
open beryl-manager, then emerald to change themes...you might have to do it in the terminal by typing
beryl-manager PCLinuxOS is easy, beryl comes pre-installed:) All you have to do is enable it.

Re: installed beryl 3 workspaces disapear!
Ok big problem now, when i typed beryl-manager it said " beryl manager isn't installed, but you can install it using this command" So i used the command it gave me, beryl manager unpacked everything looked good, then when i tried to execute it each second this line popup "beryl-manager: Critical! Could not execute beryl-manager : Success" and it kept repeating over and over (i'm not sure word for word about the "error" but its close to that, there was alot of "/.:" stuff.
Also i was trying another tutorial on the net. And when i typed this command "$ wget http://ubuntu.beryl-project.org/root@lupine.me.uk.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -" it says "gpg: no valid openpgp data found" This means i have to add http://ubuntu.beryl-project.org/root@lupine.me.uk.gpg to the "authenticate" section to allow it to download beryl? Edit: Actually the beryl gem is now in the top corner right side of my screen. But using "beryl-manager" command really screws things up. Last edited by -paper_cut-; 08-10-2007 at 08:03 PM. |
