Situational Help

I have a problem:
Currently I am running Fedora Core 6, due to a sudden misfortunate event, I have to add Windows XP back onto my computer ( I will be able to keep FC6 as well.. strange circumstances)
The set up of my hard-drive is: old windows files, linux, and random space.
My problem is that I have 36 gigabytes of Music and Documents that I need to keep, and may not be able to replace. What is the best/easiest way to keep this information?

(I know basic Linux Theory)

Murphy's Law lives

As far as I'm concerned, you have one option. Make copies of your personal data to another HDD.

Can you scrounge one up? Borrow one from a friend while you reinstall Windows? Chances are good Windows will wipe the drive

Re: Situational Help

Jaffrey -
While Linux distros usually are gracious about sharing the drive, Windows is a bully. If you try to install it after installing Linux, it tries to take over the whole drive. People have installed Windows after Linux successfully, but I never have and don't know the procedure. Googling something like "install windows after linux" would probly give you some idea of what's involved.
