Getting Back to SuSe

Howdy all,.

I just built a Micro ATX box for my Home Theater.. I would love to put SuSe on it , but I have been out of the Linux seen for a couple years, as the last time I used her was 9.0 and even then I did not completely understand it (about 90%) i understood.

Is there another Hot distro or will SuSe be enough for me? I still have the Disc's and the update to 9.1

Edit: I have in the box...And Opteron 190, 2 gigs of ram, 4 150 gig raptors, Still waiting to descide on the video as of yet..

Re: Getting Back to SuSe

Is this the original smoking baby? (Frank from NC?) Anyway. Suse 9.1 I have.I doubt that it has all the latest features. Why dont you start by doing a live CD or DVD first? To get the feel of Linux again. PC Linux.MEPIS 6.5 KED Mint bianca? That last is DVD. Knoppix looks good.Dreamlinux too but neither fit my MA311 wireless card with a driver.I like Sabayon Mini too .It is CD size and live CD at that.Fedora Core scares me with kernel panics. If you load the live Linux then you can still overload one of those with Suse 10.Most Windows guys have a problem when jumping from Windows to Suse 10 though.Unplug any extra disk drives or you might load Suse on them by mistake. Others will add their ideas on this if you check by again.
