Totem Codecs
Hey there alternative computing. I recently downloaded a codecs pack for totem movie player and I'm not sure how to install it. Sorry, I've only had Linux for a week. I'm using ubuntu edgy.

Re: Totem Codecs
I wont be much help. But as you are new to Linux. You may not have noticed one of these on the version you have.Aptget and package manager. So if you take in programs through those systems you will not have to geek them together. Sometimes you go back and get some aditional thing that goes with the program and it will be found near the main one you downloaded.

Re: Totem Codecs
Hey DJ, I don't know what the codecs you downloaded were for, but you might want to have a look at this:
http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu:Feisty Scroll down to the part that says "Playing DVD's" and enter those commands into the terminal.
