Yellow Dog cd player.
I'm running yellow dog on a 233 Imac G3. My cd reader will work on boot up because I can boot from cd. Once the operating system is loaded and I double click the icon it says
the desktop entry file /home/Andrew/Desktop/CD.desktop is of type FSDevice but has no Dev=...entry. Anyone have any suggestions. |

Re: Yellow Dog cd player.
I have not used that,Though I use Linux a lot I am not a linux geek ,But you may have not mounted the device. The proceedure is often simple.Click on the device and look for a sign that says mount.Click that ,It mounts. Otherwise ,Wait for a geek.

Re: Yellow Dog cd player.
As root, try this:
Code:
mount -t auto /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom |
