1) Did you mean WMP54G
2) If so, which version is your card?
2) What version of PCLinuxOS are you working on?

Ok, I need to know what chipset the card is and verify which version of PCLinuxOS you're using.
So first open a command prompt, and type in:
Code:
rpm -qa|grep release
Post the output here. That should tell us what version of PCLinuxOS it is.
Then, while at the command prompt, we need to identify the wireless chipset. Go to the PCLinuxOS Wiki page and follow the instructions and post the results here, please:
http://www.pclinuxonline.com/wiki/Id...irelessChipset
Once we know the chipset, we can find the correct drivers for it.

Try: (from the command line)
Code:
su
Enter your root password, then:
Code:
modprobe rt61
You should get a message on the desktop saying it found a wireless card...if it was detected properly.
Then you'll have to go to the Control Center, Network & Internet, Set up a new network interface, Wireless, see if you have a choice for "ra0", if so configure it.

Well, PCLinuxOS is about as good as you'll get as far as wireless support, and keep in mind that the version you're using is a Test release for testing purposes only, some wireless problems may be fixed in the Final release.
Suse supposedly has good wireless support also.

Hey, glad you got the wireless working.
I don't know why it would be slow, it's always seems fast to me. As far as the web speed being slow, I've heard of a problem with Firefox with IPv6 enabled and certain routers...you could try this:
Type
Code:
about:config
into the FF address bar
type
Code:
ipv6
into the "Filter" bar at the top of the page.
If it's set to false, then you're ok. If its set to True, double click on it to toggle it to false. If you don't notice any speed difference, then that wasn't making trouble.
Another thing could be if you're using Test Release 1, I heard there was a internet speed problem in it that would have been corrected with later versions.
