Linux redhat AS 4, just last day it was working ok... suddenly my Ethernet card eth0 is unable to ping any lan pc on the same network saying "destination host unreachable", n nobody can ping my system, i hv checked all cable everything found ok...when i ping local address that reply ok..what went worng ?
look i hv two Lan card , one of them is working absolutely fine... but one has above problem. yeah i hv configured it with ip address : 192.168.1.50 255.255.255.0, output of /sbin/sysctl -a is very big . may i post all ot it ? output of /iptable -nvL : iptables v1.2.11: Unknown arg `-nvl' Try `iptables -h' or 'iptables --help' for more information. Hi sunlinux,
A couple of things: Did you check that eth0 is enabled? Are you using a static IP adress, or are you using DHCP? Try setting eth0 to DHCP. Did you check that the Domain (or if you are using Samba, the Workgroup) didn't get changed or deleted?

Dear,
Every thing is ok. you just tell me ,if smone use my MAC address at his card then my network would function ot not ? I suspect that smone is using my mac address intensionally on his machine. How do i avoid such situation or check the culprit.
