upgrade red hat which is already in dual boot.

Sorry if the title is confusing, but my problem is this: I currently have a system thats running in XP/ redhat 9.0 dual boot. XP has died, I think, but I don't want to uninstall it yet. But because I can't use windows, I need to start using linux and I want to upgrade redhat into something newer, like fedora. So how can I uninstall Redhat 9 and install fedora without losing my dual boot setup?

You should be able to format the partition that RH is currently on, then install Fedora in that partition. When you install Fedora it will give you the dual boot options and it should detect your XP installation and add it to GRUB bootloader for you.
