Exclamation installing xfree86 when you have no clue how to do it

hi i really dont know thow to install xfree86.
there are so many installing guides and i dont know how to do it (i dont understand or it is not working from what they said.it is really confusing.

they you say to pu the file in the /usr/X11R6/lib and there is no "lib" there????

and i try installing it in a different directory like /usr/X11R6 it says permission DENIED, three questions

1.where do i download the right one?
2.how do i install it? could u tell me how, no links?
3.how do i get ride of this perission thing?

please help me

for my ati driver i have a x600 but they dont have a x600 so i will try the x700 the one guy sugested it in one of my other threads

The ATI Linux proprietary drivers supports both XFree86 and X.Org:

Just choose Custom install and select the appropriate driver components.

Exclamation more problems!!!???

thank you i got it installed,
but here is another problemm,
it says i need firegl for it to work "properly".
i press ok and it has one tab "information"

so u download the firegl and this is what it says:

Missing Dependency: X11-Xserver is needed by package X11-driver-firegl
Missing Dependency: X11-driver-firegl(kernel) is needed by package X11-driver-firegl
Missing Dependency: X11-OpenGL-core >= 1:6.9.0 is needed by package X11-driver-firegl
Missing Dependency: X11-libs >= 1:6.9.0 is needed by package X11-driver-firegl
Missing Dependency: X11-modules < 1:7.0.0 is needed by package X11-driver-firegl
Missing Dependency: X11-modules >= 1:6.9.0 is needed by package X11-driver-firegl

is there a yum thing i can do to download these?
or do i have to download them manuely(one by one)
as in yum: yum -y install (the file names)
where can i download these i looked the only good place was http://rpmseek.com/

o ya rpmseek in not working right now too
have any ideas?
