Hi, if you are running KDE you could install it like this:
Navigate to the file, and right-click on it. In the menu that opens, find and click on "Install with YaST". Enter the root password and it installs!
Or install it from the command line:
open a terminal, and switch to the directory where the file is located. type "su". (sans quotes). Enter your root password. Then type: "rpm -i XFCOM_i810-1.2-3.i386.rpm" (again without quotes). press enter, and it should install.

could you post the error message you are getting from the command line? Also make sure you have the correct file for your OS, and maybe even re-download it incase it got corrupted.
Try installing it with YaST at the "su" command line, type:

yast -i XFCOM_i810-1.2-3.i386.rpm

dunno if that makes any difference but worth a try.
