ATi's new driver
So I like to play around with linux, and have a laptop with ATi graphics in it. I was excited to see that ATi released a new driver for linux. However, sadly my 9700m was not listed on the supported cards.
So my question is, has anyone tried it with a 9700m yet? Does it actually work, or are there any other alternatives? |

Anyone have any new information about this?
I will probably be formatting the harddrive on my laptop soon, which has the 9700m in it, so I'll try putting linux on it (maybe SuSE 10 or Ubuntu or Mandrake... or all of them!). I'll try out the new ATi linux drivers and see if they work with my chip or not and let people know. |
