How to use Ubuntu ISOs?

I downloaded both the Install ISO and the Live ISO from the Ubuntu home page and I am at a loss as to how to use them. The site mentioned the use of Nero, which I have but I tried burning the file a few times but I can't seem get it to work.

Anyone else out there have the same issues or know how to get me past this hurdle....erm...give me instructions on what to do.

Make sure that your boot order is Cd first then put the burnt disc in the cd,restart the computer and it should be right to go from there

Well I used Nero and created a bootable CDROM.
Inoticed that after I burned it, if I try to see the contents of the disk, it shows the disk is full but I can't see any files.

I also tried using Emulation option under Expert options.
I tried to use all three, 3.5 floppy, hard disk and no emulation.

I noticed when I used the hard disk emulation mode as it is burning it gives a warning says "boot sector not recognized".

Also, I set the boot order correctly and the system does get to the "boot from cd" prompt but I fails to boot.

I am stumped.

I went ahead and ordered some cds but I really need the OS now.

Just burn the ISO image to the CD it should be bootable,do not use the burn bootable option in NERO

All done. I was being a blockhead. All I had to do was launch Nero "Express" and select Burn Image and then browse my desktop and "show all files". It worked like a charm. In fact I am running a freshly installed freshly updated Ubuntu on this machine that I am posting this with.

My next task, where to get the linux versions of:

AVG or another good free Anti-virus
Adaware
Spy Guard and Spy Blaster
Hijackthis!

Nice thing is, you really don't need those programs! Malware in Linux is still very rare. However, I know there are some AV apps out there, if you insist
