Post Trashed MBR

Hi Guys,

I was installing Ubuntu Linux on my laptop, but half way through the setup I got an error message during GRUB installation. I reboot and get GRUB Error 22. I can only assume the CD was bad because this has never happened before. Anyway, I knew that a quick fixmbr command in the recovery console would put things right. Problem is that I don't have the XP CD to get into the recovery console! I can network boot (no idea how that works) I have no floppy drive so I can't use the XP floppies to get to the recovery console. All I have is a SUSE Live DVD if that can help me at all? I don't think I can burn CDs from a Live Distro - I only have one DVD-CDRW drive and the Live DVD has to use that.

My only idea was to buy a linux install cd from somewhere and re-install grub.

EDIT: I have just requested a Dapper CD from Ubuntu, but that is gonna take about 8 weeks to get to me...

Thanks.

I ordered a recovery CD off eBay for a few pennies.
