Pin laptop problem tech from nyc needs help


HELLO GUYS AND GALS I AM A COMPUTER TECHNICIAN AT A COMPANY IN NYC AND AM RECIIEVEING THIS MESSAGE ANY SUGGESTIONS? FOR A COMPAQ LAPTOP COMPAQ N1020V
when I powered it, first thing that came was an error message that said '' power surge on hub port ''. When I clicked the pop up balloon, it told me that this system error is caused by an USB powered device that is drawing more power than the hub can provide. There was NO USB device connected to the laptop . Again, that's what happen the very first time I have turned on the computer.Therefore, I wanted to adress this concern to you before leaving any feedback because I haven't done anything with that laptop. No programs have been installed and no net browsing have been done. So I'll be waiting for your response. COMPAQ N1020V
