You would have to update the ram in this laptop to run Vista.
I also wanted to know what Linux version I should get and what Linux is for.
Not sure, but we do have a Linux section on this site where they could help you with this.
Another thing that really has been bothering me is that I always have 55 processes or more running on this laptop. I don't which ones are necessary to keep running and which ones to end.
To add to this question I was wondering if I could permanently terminate processes from ever starting up again. I always see aolservice.exe on the process list and I don't want AOL on my computer at all. I have AIM, but I really don't know if this process is associated with it since aim6.exe is another process that runs when AIM is open.
2 ways to address this. 1-Go to add/remove programs and uninstall all unwanted programs. 2-Go to Start,Run and type msconfig and click on ok. Now go to the startup tab and deselect any unwanted programs.
Any answers are appreciated. Thanks in advance!
