A Couple of Questions
First off, I have an Acer Aspire 5000 with 512 Megabytes of RAM and 80 Gigabytes of Hard Drive Space (partitioned into C:\ drive and D:\ drive) with an AMD Turion64 Processor.
I was wondering if it's smart to install two separate OS's (I don't know if I should go for Linux or Vista) on this Laptop.
I also wanted to know what Linux version I should get and what Linux is for.
Another thing that really has been bothering me is that I always have 55 processes or more running on this laptop. I don't which ones are necessary to keep running and which ones to end.
To add to this question I was wondering if I could permanently terminate processes from ever starting up again. I always see aolservice.exe on the process list and I don't want AOL on my computer at all. I have AIM, but I really don't know if this process is associated with it since aim6.exe is another process that runs when AIM is open.
Any answers are appreciated. Thanks in advance!
