I have had a fiddle about with my BIOS and tried to change my performance from Standard to Turbo.

This caused the system to fail and after about 5 power on /off's it said overclocking failed and I put it back

I then tried overclocking by 5% and this worked fine.

Should I see an improvement? Is this safe or worthwhile?
