Mouse pointer disappears upon resume on dual monitors
Hi there,
I've Googled this problem, and searched these forums, but it seems that no one has come up with a solution as yet. Apparently this problem has been persistent all the way back to XP (from the reports I've seen from XP users in 2006).
History: I purchased a new HP DV2210US laptop in March preloaded with Vista Home Premium. Then, a week ago I purchased a 22" Westinghouse LCD monitor. Setup was effortless, and the additional real estate has been great. However, there's a problem.
Whenever my laptop goes to sleep/hibernate and I resume the session, the mouse pointer has disappeared (on the 22" external monitor). The mouse pointer is still fine and present on the laptop. Heck, I believe this happens even if ten minutes pass and the screen goes to sleep (but not the whole computer). Additionally, it doesn't seem to matter which monitor (laptop of 22" external) is the #1 Monitor or #2 Monitor or the primary monitor. Every configuration I've tried has had the same problem.
Reports of XP users in 2006 suggest that the issue might be the nVidia drivers? Or is it Windows?
Does anyone know of a solution for this problem?
Regards,
Abe
