if you have seperate h/d's for c and d
if you disconnect c and reboot windows should assign c to the drive in there and when you reconnect assign d to the one you reconnect
you will probably have to run fixboot from the recovery console to get back in and the other problem will be everything installed on the original D,the path will point to d when now it is on c
wait for some more replies from members with more knowledge on the subject.i have pm'd one that may know to have a look
just had a reply if the c and d are seperate drives make c active in disk manager
