If the CD-RW drive is a standard ATAPI IDE CD-RW, it should be able to use the built-in CD drivers in Windows. What is the make/model of the CDRW - and when was the last time it was in known-good working order? [the make/model will be on a sticker on the drive - or you can use a tool like Astra or Everest to detect it].

If the CD-RW is some other sort of optical drive (such as a SCSI, parallel port, or USB external, etc) --- let us know.
