OS: XP pro


So you had a P4 1.5ghz on a board that has a 133 FSB.

And you put in a P4 3.0GHZ....I dont think your motherboard can handle that m8. Now I might be wrong on this as I dont use Intel chips. But does the P4 3.0GHZ not require a motherboard woth a 400MHZ FSB?

Please correct me if I am wrong on this

You can find out your motherboard model by going to www.cpuid.com and download the program. It will tell you all you need to know. Put your old cpu back in a try that.
