I am pretty sure that the CD is not faulty, as it re-installed win2k on my PC about a month ago. The CD drive could be at fault, but there has never been a problem with it, so I've ruled that out. As far as the floppy is concerned, somebody apparently tried to force feed a floppy into the drive before I got it, and screwed it up. Do you really think that it could be previously installed software still somewhere on the HDD that could be affecting the install negatively? I have wiped the HDD (using the win CD), reformatting it to NTFS and figured that would do the trick, but it may not have. Oh well, I'll give boot n nuke a try...
