Is it possible to resume the program 'recover my files' if there is a power cut or my Pc decides to shut itself down etc ????

I am running a full format search and trying to recover alot of files which were accidently formatted (I think!?!?!) and it can take up to 6 days apparently (its a 160 GB hard drive)......I don't want to get so far and have to keep on starting it over and over , so if there is a resume option could somebody please let me know ????
