Running Ide Hdd As Sata Hdd!

hi
I want to run my 2 80gb IDE hdd as SATA drives, my motherboard (DFI lanparty UT nF3 250GB) has 4 SATA connectors. I know it CAN be done, as I have searched the web for info, my problem is the language used completely goes over my head! Raid? Raid Array? Promise? it means nothing to me at all. I want (need?) a step-by-step guide or tutorial to install IDE hdd to a SATA connection including any parts to do the job (cables etc) Not much to ask as Im sure SOMEBODY will have done this before!
further system info is:
2x western digital 80GB hdd (WD800JB)
SONY CD-RW CRX230EE
IOMEGA 100mb ZIP DRIVE
512MB CRUCIAL PC3200 DDR400 MEMORY
GeFORCE 5500
AUREAL SONIC VORTEX
thanks for any help!
