Someone I know had a system failure consisting of his computer not turning on. He then purchased a new computer, but would like to recover his hard drive and is thinking of making it external. What, if any, would be the complications of doing this since it was his only hard drive on his old pc? I'm fairly sure its an IDE HDD. Hes not exactly tech savvy so if its not a simple process of buying a kit and installing it, then its probably not a good idea.
