Hi, and welcome to TSF!

Sorry for taking a long time to respond. I have been on vacation over the weekend and am trying to catch up.

First, try clearing the CMOS by unplugging the AC power and battery, and then removing the CMOS battery for a half hour.

Then, inspect the motherboard for any capacitors that may be leaking.

Finally, try running the laptop with only one RAM stick, and then the other.
