Re: You're gonna love this: I've LOST my CD/DVD!

Hi Samantha (or do you prefer Sami~)

You do seem to have got in a bit of a mess so let's see what we can do to sort you out. First, could you post your system specs so that we can see what we are dealing with. The best way to do this is to use Everest. Details of where to get Everest and how to use it can be found in this article. When you run Everest select summary under Computer in the left hand pane. Please attach a screenie (you may need two if you have to scroll down to see all the results) of the results. If you know how to attach a screenie ignore this next bit; if not, read on. With the results page of Everest maximised, press the Print Screen button on the top row next to F12. Open Paint (in Accessories) and click on edit and from the dropdown menu select paste. Save the image as a .jpg Do the same with the lower half of the results page if you have to scroll down. To attach the images to your reply, make sure you use Reply rather than Quick reply, or if you've gone into Quick Reply, select Advanced underneath the message box. At the top of the message box, to the right of the smilie, you'll see a paper clip. Click on this and a dialogue box will open which will allow you to upload your image(s). When you've uploaded your images, close the window and press the paperclip again. Click on the image names to attach them. You should have something like this.

everest.JPG

That should be enough to be going on with for the time being. Post back when you've done that.
Regards,
John.
