Limited Connectivity means it sees the connection, eliminating that it is the cable itself.

You are most likely getting this error from bad TCP/IP settings..

Open Up Network Connections. Right click on the Local Area Connection and select Repair.

If this does not work, Right click on Local Area Connection and Select Properties. Select TCP/IP v4 and Click on Properties. Verify that Obtain IP Address Automatically is selected and click OK on each dialog box. Repair the connection again and you should be online.
