Hi James,
Sorry, I forgot to answer your question about PXE. PXE stands for Preboot Execution Environment. What this means is that your machine is a corporate machine that is setup to boot from a network. I think this may be why you are having problems. It may be necessary to reflash your BIOS. This is not for the fainthearted. Do you want to go down this road? BTW, did you try doing what I suggested and installing XP with the hard drive in the other machine?
