Re: Dell Latitude CPxJ650 broken fan

Hi,

thanks for the advice. I tried the mobile meter. Initial reading was 25.0 C. It stayed there for a bit then began climbing all the way up to 38.0 C after about a half an hour.

Also, I got the 32 point diagnostic software from dell's website, made sure it was the correct version for my laptop, but I cant' for the life of me figure out how to run it. I've tried running straight from windows as well as from the boot menu. I even tried putting it on multiple floppies but this didn't work either. It is currently on CD (approx. 5.6 MB) and is comprised mostly of MDM files (about 85), two DOS Applications as well as one plain 'Application.'

So, I'm stuck. Any help is greatly appreciated. And yes, I will definitely consider making a donation if I am able to make any progress.

Thanks in advance, Gabe
