I have an IBM Thinkpad that operates on win98 and has a ram of 97,652KB RAM, 20GB of HDD

Whenever I switch on it gives the following;

Switch on: 097728 KB OK
173

Then goes on to Error

00176
00163
OK or Cancel

When click cancel it gives error
00176
00163

When I click OK theres the screen prompting me to update the time, when I update the time to current time and click OK

It gives 097728 KB OK and then it loads the operating system. This happens everytime I startup the machine. Any idea why this happens.
