External hard drive
This may seem like a stupid question, but I have no experience at all with external hard drives. Are they used only for backing up files, or would I be able to use it like a regular hard drive (put/access files on it, such as word documents and music). I mainly want one as an easy way to transfer large files between my home computer and a laptop, and this way I might not need to save the files on either one.
