Re: Windows XP Home Edition Chkdsk Error
Hi
I did a browse of the Microsoft XP Forums and there are numerous posts about the unreliabilty of chkdsk in Windows, especially when using the cmd prompt from within windows.
It seems that the best way is to run a chkdsk c:/r from the cmd prompt and then view the results in Event Viewer - I just did this and it showed that it had rectified several errors and the disk was clean.
BTW a diagnostic check of the HDD shows no problems.
