Windows XP Home Edition Chkdsk Error

Hi

I am curious as to why I get the following problems when using the chkdsk function in my OS (Windows XP Home).

If I use the Run>chkdsk c: the check shows no errors.

If I use the cmd prompt to run chkdsk c: I get the following:
Correcting errors in the Bitmap
Windows found problems with the file system
Run CHKDSK with the /F (Fix) option to correct these

I have run chkdsk c:/f from the cmd prompt and had the check/fix done on reboot which shows no errors on the disc. I have also run a chkdsk of c: using the My Computer>Propereties>Error Checking with both boxes checked to fix file errors and recover bad sectors again showing no errors on reboot.

Does anyone know what might cause the persistent error messages when I run the chkdsk c: from the cmd prompt?

I have not found any problems with my PC and have been able to access all files and programmes without problems.
