motherboard ID

I just got a Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000 on EBay. I took it apart and found some weird numbers on the motherboard. It is a Toshiba FMOSY1 then bar code with 113A1W4S under it and under that again is NM4 94V-0.
The north bridge is a M1644T and the south is a M1535. The only number which matches the service manual is the south bridge and the CPU which is an Intel P3 1000 MHZ. The model # on the back of the laptop is PS600U-AAAA6. Again not a number I can find on any web site. This all started when I couldn't play a DVD which I have a drive for if not a proper driver but when I try to up-grade it tells me that the proper one is installed.
Can anyone tell me what I have here. My first thought is that I got something someone whipped up from available parts and somehow got it to boot. Thanx Bob
