did u erase the whole harddisk (restore it to its original state with for example a cd)?
cause if u did, u first have to put in the orginal internet card and reinstall the pc with this. then go through all the proceses to configure ure 'new' pc. switch it off, switch to the new internet card and jst start up ure pc, then it will recognize it as new hardware and just install the drivers.
i got no clue if this is of any importance, but it may help :)
