I notice some people who like to get the best performance from their system use a small SATA driver like 80GB and install the operating system on there with nothing else. Giving you quicker access with no clutter, kind of like partitioning your bigger drive into two sections with just enough space for vista would be ideal and hopefully keep the install clean and clutter free.
