Sorry, I guess I haven't been that clear.
1. I wiped C:\ and reinstalled WIN98. The 50GB of stuff was put onto my External HDD so I wouldn't lose it.
2. In the taskbar when I click the icon to choose to safely disconnect a HDD it shows as "Samsung SP1203N -Drive(:)". The drive letter is supposed to be in the brackets.
3. In Device Manager I meant in general all it shows is what drive letter is assigned and its greyed out so you can't change it. For the external HDD it's blank.
