I thought you said you'd just wiped it. I assumed all your data were on your C:\ drive. I take it you mean you had to wipe your C:\ drive.

Sorry, I missed that. In 98 you should be able to do it from your emergency starup disc. If you haven't already got one it's easy to create in 98, but it's a while since I used 98 so I can't tell you off the top of my head, but as far as I remember it's an option in Add/Remove programs. That only answers the question of how to format and partition. Accessing your data is another matter and I'll have to give it some thought. If no one else comes up with an answer I'll get back to you.
