As long as you have NETBIOS and FILE AND PRINTER SHARING enabled, unless you have turned them off you probably do, simply right click a folder or drive and click share. The folder or drive is then visible to other users on the network.
- Do not share the entire C drive. Not good practice.
- Use a strong password to protect the folder or drive.
- Filter your MAC address so IP's are only assigned to known computers.
- Use WEP or preferabbly WPA encription with a strong password for your wireless network.
Most download management software, p2p or otherwise, will allow you to change the folder that your downloads are sent to, including the folder where hald downloaded stuff is stored.
