Thank you both for your help

CannonFodder, in regards on setting the cpu temperature threshold in the BIOS, i went into H/W monitoring and found a setting called "CPU temp. Threshold" it was set to 2 (im not sure what this setting means and i had no option to change it.)

Linderman, unfortunately in Ireland Good comp. stores are few and far between so getting good quality products at reasonable prices is a difficult task.

However there is one and ONLY one good store in Ireland Komplett.ie, What would be your view on the following PSU:Fortron/Source Powersupply ATX 650W EPS12V, SATA, 24/20pinhttp://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=320295
unfortunatly komplett.ie give little or no info on this PSU.

In terms of a heatsink Im still using the crap and ridiculously hard to install stock heatsink.

I was thinking of getting one of these two:

Akasa EVO Blue CPU Cooler http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=324041

OR

NorthQ 3312BLA UFO http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=328617

Thanks again for your help
